  • The term medicine is derived from the Latin word 'ars medicina' meaning the art of healing.Medicine is actually an elixir of life to an extent. It is to built and maintain the health of a man until his death and therby a strong society. Hence a doctor has a very respectful position in the public and the medical study is also considered very high and should be very serious.It includes the study, diagnosis and the tratment of a disease. The main medicine for all disease is a good patient-doctor relationship. There is many medical associations to control the field. In india for english medicine it is Indian Medical Assosiation(IMA) and AYUSH for Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and also Homeopathy.
    There is many branches in medicine depending on our body parts and type of diseases. Some of them are Cardiology ,Critical care medicine ,Dermatology,Endocrinology, Family Practice, Gastroenterology, Gynaecology, Hepatology, Hematology, Infectious diseases, Nephrology, Oncology, Ophtalmology, Pediatrics, Proctology, Pulmonology, Rheumatology, Neurology, Geriatrics,etc.
